With the help of Inflexion Interactive and Rev Systems, Perler (a division of EKSuccess Ltd), launched an online application that allows users to convert their favorite photos into Perler templates. Called Perler Snapshots, this free program allows children (and adults) ages 6 and up to recreate and customize pictures into incredibly realistic fused-bead artwork.
“This is a powerful and one of a kind web application which is not only fun to use but is also educational,” said Scott Delea, Managing Partner of Inflexion Interactive.
Perler beads were originally created as an educational craft for children to assist in the development of hand-eye coordination, color and shape recognition and fine motor skills. This new application gives children a way to customize their Perler designs with their own images such as a picture of their pet, family member or logo of their favorite sports team. Once the image template is created, a list of supplies is created which can be purchased online or at their favorite retailer.
