Get to Know Our Adrenaline Junkie, Ever-Positive Digital Coordinator

MeetEricMeet Eric. He believes the sky’s the limit. Literally. He’s also a pretty awesome Digital Coordinator. What does this adrenaline junkie, glass-half-full kind of guy have to say about life and working at Inflexion? Read on…

What are some values of Inflexion that matter to you? How do these affect the work you do?

I really enjoy the #RecognizeGreatness trend here at Inflexion and the idea that everyone always pushes to do great work. Constantly reinventing, pushing the bar, and avoiding complacency are all ideas that take place here every day. Being around such an enthusiastic team is contagious and amplifies my drive to contribute to award-winning work.

Do you have a mantra you live by? What is it and why do you use it?

I can sum up my beliefs in one word: resilience. The ability to overcome adversity and bounce back quickly from problematic circumstances is my most cherished trait. Nothing can take the place of resilience. And if I can’t find a way, I’ll make one.

Aside from necessities, what one thing could you not go a day without?

I couldn’t go a day without laughing. A day without it is a day wasted, and it’s an effective weapon against almost anything.

How do you make the world a better place?

I’m a firm believer in the little things. Sometimes all it takes is politeness, holding a door, a smile or a laugh. There are two types of people in this world; there are those who take away from a room when they enter, and those who add value. If I can leave people just a little bit better than the way I found them, I’m happy with that.

What motivates you?

The idea of never settling. Whether you realize it or not, it’s impossible to remain the same day in and day out. It may be by an inch or a mile, but either you went to bed a little better or a little worse than when you woke up. To me, the human experience is all about growing, learning, and embracing change. Be it physical, mental, or beyond, I want to become a better version of myself every single day.

Would you rather ride a bike, ride a horse, or drive a car?

I drive every day, and ride bikes occasionally, so I would prefer to saddle up. May the horse be with me.

What is your favorite book?

The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I’ve been reading a book per week for the past few years now, and although I rarely touch fiction, The Alchemist was the most thought-provoking novels I have ever read. One of its main themes is not giving up while not being afraid to fail. It’s something I read at least once a year, and each time I have a different take on it.
